After participating in operations in North Africa, Sicily and Italy, the 9th US Air Force was sent to Britain at the end of 1943 to become the main tactical air force of the United States, in preparation for the landing on the continent. . After preparing for the assault with an intense bombing campaign targeting German infrastructure and communication networks in France, the 9th AF actively supported Operation Overlord from the morning of June 6, 1944, then accompanied the American troops in their progress on European territory, until victory. The Second Tactical Air Force (2 TAF) assumed the same role, but for the benefit of British troops. Formed in the RAF with units from Bomber Command and Fighter Command in June, it supported British and Canadian forces on the continent from the Normandy landings until the end of the conflict.

Priority orders are prioritised throughout the dispatch process, picked first and sent via RM24 Tracked. Royal Mail do not guarantee delivery times, but orders placed this way tend to arrive substantially quicker than standard.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
Once items are placed in your basket, the website will calculate the delivery charge for your order, dependent on country, and any surcharges we would be charged within the UK at the point of despatch. This does not include any charges made in the country of delivery at the time of delivery. We aim to deliver your order within the delivery times stated, Europe 7-10 days, Worldwide, 15-20 days, these are provided as an indication only, we often find deliveries are much quicker than estimated.
