FRENCH Language book. This book is the bound version of the two Special Editions Navires & Histoire published in 2023 and which were very successful. Long before the signing of the Washington Naval Treaty, Japanese engineers had developed a project which would lead to the construction of the first cruisers called, at that time in the empire of the Rising Sun, ‘Itto Junyokan’ or 1st class cruisers. At the end of the 1920s, the Imperial Navy Japanese could boast of owning the 'Ju Jjunyokan', better known as cruisers the most powerful heavyweights in the world with the ‘Myoko’ class. From 1939, this class of ship was put into service, eighteen of these being built. Within the most important navies in the world, these legendary ships will only shine during the Second World War, but the Japanese cruisers will, without a doubt, be those who will have the most to suffer from American maritime and naval air power. The genesis and history of Japanese heavy cruisers will be reported to you in this book.
