French Language Book: THE TRUE STORY OF THE 12TH SS PANZER DIVISION "HITLERJUGEND" in Normandy, 1944. Discover the true story of the 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend" during the fighting in Normandy! After decades of research and with the assistance of over a hundred veterans of the Division, the author presents this second part of Volume 1, focusing on the combat engagement of the Division's frontline units in June 1944: SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 25, SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 26, SS-Pz.Pi.Btl. 12, SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt. 12, the Divisional Escort Company, and more. Thanks to war diaries and a wealth of previously unpublished documents and eyewitness accounts, it has finally been possible to establish a precise day-by-day—and sometimes hour-by-hour, during major battles—chronology of the Panzergrenadiers combat operations. Follow the daily lives of these young soldiers—who would prove to be formidable fighters against British troops—as the violence of combat reached extreme levels, sparing neither side nor individual. This intensity came at a heavy price: staggering casualties and numerous war crimes. The vast collection of previously unpublished material—complemented by exceptional imagery, including over 760 photographs and documents (period photos, portraits, Soldbücher, archival records, etc. makes this 496-page volume an essential resource for understanding the Battle of Normandy. A definitive reference work on one of the most famous Panzer divisions, perfect for specialists in German units deployed in Normandy in 1944 and military history enthusiasts alike!
