Winter Battle in Franconia, REFORGER 79 Certain Sentinel, was the second such exercise of US armed forces to take place in winter. One objective of the training exercise was to test the deployment of American reinforcements to Europe under extreme weather conditions, and to learn lessons for the future in order to optimise the process. Yet, poor and unpredictable Central European winter weather in January-February 1979 impaired the exercise to a hitherto unprecedented degree and presented the command with major challenges. Core element of REFORGER 79 was the Certain Sentinel corps combat training exercise in the central Franconian region in the southern part of West Germany. This publication uses impressive exercise photographs to illustrate the fight of American, German and Canadian units against a superior armoured enemy force but also their battle against the harsh Franconian winter weather.

Priority orders are prioritised throughout the dispatch process, picked first and sent via RM24 Tracked. Royal Mail do not guarantee delivery times, but orders placed this way tend to arrive substantially quicker than standard.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
Once items are placed in your basket, the website will calculate the delivery charge for your order, dependent on country, and any surcharges we would be charged within the UK at the point of despatch. This does not include any charges made in the country of delivery at the time of delivery. We aim to deliver your order within the delivery times stated, Europe 7-10 days, Worldwide, 15-20 days, these are provided as an indication only, we often find deliveries are much quicker than estimated.
