Though only three were produced in the late-1920s early-1930s Germany, the Dornier Do X was the largest flying boat of its time and flew passengers on international flights in extreme comfort during the pre-World War II years. Powered by twelve engines, the aircraft could accommodate over 100 passengers and crew and included sleeping and dining areas. This detailed and highly illustrated book covers the design, development and construction of the Do X. Explores its initial testing and short but historic use as an international airliner, and lastly discusses the ultimate fate of all three examples. The superb collection of photographs includes rare images of the Do X's construction, flights, crew, and luxurious fittings – including many of its interior features, furniture, vintage ephemera and place settings.

UK STANDARD DELIVERY

Where available Priority Plus is offered to UK orders at checkout.
Priority orders are prioritised throughout the dispatch process, picked first and sent via RM24 Tracked. Royal Mail do not guarantee delivery times, but orders placed this way tend to arrive substantially quicker than standard.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
Once items are placed in your basket, the website will calculate the delivery charge for your order, dependent on country, and any surcharges we would be charged within the UK at the point of despatch. This does not include any charges made in the country of delivery at the time of delivery. We aim to deliver your order within the delivery times stated, Europe 7-10 days, Worldwide, 15-20 days, these are provided as an indication only, we often find deliveries are much quicker than estimated.
