This book is a collection of many rare photographs from the early days of airplane development in Japan, amazingly such things remained. From the various nostalgic sepia-coloured aircraft, you can see how the flight performance, stability, and manoeuvrability improve as the ages go by. Most were wooden upholstered biplanes or high-wing monoplanes supported by struts, but towards the end they became metal, and eventually cantilevered low-wing monoplanes without braces appeared. The clothes and attitudes of the pilots, and the kimonos and epilepsy hats of the many spectators who gathered enthusiastically. The book is photographs only.
