This Volume covers the period from 23 July 1940 Ð 8 August 1940 when the fighting was intensifying over the convoys in the English Channel. Using contemporary accounts such as combat reports, rarely seen squadron intelligence summaries and the newly released casualty reports, each day is broken down into its individual combats with an assembled list of claims, losses and first-hand accounts. Each combat and casualty report is illustrated with a photo of the pilot wherever possible.
